Battle of the Buildings
About the event

A downtown rivalry,
for a national milestone.

Battle of the Buildings was built around three ideas: celebrate America 250, strengthen downtown San Antonio's community, and build toward a fundraising process intended to support the American Heart Association once final setup is confirmed. We made it a workout — because nothing brings a building together quite like sweating side by side.

🎆 America 250

250 years of grit

In 2026 the United States turns 250. The Continental Soldiers theme honors the original patriots — the ordinary citizens who showed up, day after day, for something bigger than themselves. The Spartans bring the warrior's discipline. Together they remind us that endurance is an American tradition.

The flag we're flying

13 stripes. 250 years. One downtown community.

Downtown San Antonio

Where the battle lives

300 Main and The Continental Residences are part of the same skyline transformation — projects that turned downtown back into a neighborhood. This event uses the gyms, pools, and Legacy Park that connect them, and proves that the city's growth is more than buildings: it's people.

🏙️ The Setting

Built from the skyline up

Downtown San Antonio, TX is one of the fastest-growing downtowns in the country, and that growth deserves a celebration. Battle of the Buildings is downtown asserting itself — competitive, healthy, loud, generous.

Frequently Asked

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know before showing up on game day.

What kind of workout is this?

Battle of the Buildings is a CrossFit / hybrid-style team workout built for scalable participation. The event is a ~45-minute workout with movement options for every fitness level.

What fitness level do I need?

Any. Movements are scalable from first-timer to firebreather. Coaches from The Union Fitness & Fun lead warmup and walk through every station before you go.

What should I bring?

Athletic clothes, sneakers, a water bottle, and a towel. We'll provide the event shirt at check-in. Swimsuit optional if you want to cool off post-workout in either building's pool.

Can beginners participate?

Absolutely — that's the point. There are no Olympic lifts, no heavy barbells, and every station has a scaled option. If you can move, you can battle.

Where do I park?

Free street parking is available downtown on Saturdays. 300 Main has a guest garage; Continental has limited visitor parking. Carpooling and rideshare recommended.

Is there food?

Yes — a post-event gathering at Legacy Park after the awards with food, music, and community time. Menu and provider details will be confirmed before event day.

What if I don't live in either building?

You're welcome! Pick the team you want to support. Friends, coworkers, and neighbors from across downtown are all invited to register and compete.

Is this kid- or family-friendly?

The Legacy Park gathering is family-friendly. The workout itself is age 16+ — minors need a parent or guardian signed waiver.

Are payments or donations live yet?

No. Payment/donation verification is still being finalized. Real AHA, Stripe, or Clover processing will not be enabled until final provider, legal, and operations details are approved.

Who do I contact if my registration needs help?

Use your building captain or event staff contact once finalized. The support contact slot is currently pending and will be added before live launch.
